G-SMATT Media Glass

Our glass consists of fluorine tin oxide (FTO) coated glass, LEDs, a resin interlayer, and a cover glass. Circuitry is laser etched into the FTO and the LEDs are precisely placed to allow the circuitry to connect. Flexible, printed circuit boards (FPCB) are connected to the circuitry on the edges of the glass. Resin is then poured in between the two panes of glass and hardened using UV light.

G-SMATT has production facilities in Seoul and Tianjin, China

We have sophisticated production facilities in both Korea and China that give us a significant production capacity. Assembly and testing of G-SMATT media glass happens in these facilities. 

We also produce our G-Tainer frames and accessories under license in the United Kingdom. G-SMATT media glass, along with G-Tainer frames, comply with the appropriate European standards, so they're safe and reliable to use. 

G-SMATT currently holds 17 patents that cover our media Glass products. Innovation is part of our DNA and we're continually working on ways of improving our products.

Integration with the smart city

We believe passionately that G-SMATT media glass has the potential to fundamentally change our view of the digital cityscape. The integration of scaled media screens, with smart-city infrastructure, enables buildings to respond to the city. They can show emergency information, real-time parking and traffic information, weather, and news. 

They can also respond directly to people in the vicinity of the screens. They can personalise people’s responses, providing timely and relevant information.

Just imagine. Suddenly the facade of a building is transformed from being essentially passive to taking part in the life of the city in a very direct and interactive way.
